President Muhammadu Buhari has licensed the upgrading of the Marhai wooded space reserve in Wamba Native Authorities Field of Nasarawa Bid to a national park.
Conservator-Neatly-liked and Chief Govt Officer, Nationwide Park Products and providers, Ibrahim Musa Goni, disclosed this whereas on a courtesy call on Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule on the Authorities Dwelling on Monday in Lafia.
He said Buhari licensed the upgrading of 1 other 9 wooded space reserves at some stage within the country out of the 23 earlier requested.
In maintaining with Goni, Nasarawa Bid authorities, in 2013, alongside other 22 states, requested for upgrading of the Marhai wooded space reserve, following which President Buhari licensed the upgrading of ten wooded space reserves.
Sule thanked Buhari for approving advice of the NPS setting up the ten new national parks.
In maintaining with the Governor, since inception, his administration has been promoting the Farin Ruwa tourism potentials with the state authorities setting up the 15-km Sisin Baki/ Farin Ruwa boulevard to start up the spot.
Sule used to be optimistic with its conversion to a national park the Marhai Wooded space Reserve will certainly lead other national parks attributable to its pure endowment, in particular its ability to appeal to tourists.
