The apex Igbo socio-cultural team, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has warned Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in opposition to any strive to operate a Fulani safety team in the Igbo land.
The team in an announcement by its Secretary Overall, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro emphasised that securing lives and property of the citizenry totally lies in the hands of governors and the President, vowing that Ndigbo would resist such strive to deploy any Fulani safety team to man the nooks and crannies of Igbo land.
Isiguzoro acknowledged if the purported pass by Miyetti Allah is now no longer quelled, it can spell doom for Nigeria.
“Now we be pleased got accommodated them, living with them peacefully, however we can resist any strive to deploy any Fulani safety team in the East,” he acknowledged.
The team furthermore gave marching orders to the Jap Safety Community (ESN) and Ebube Agu to as a topic of urgency guarantee that the unwarranted attacks on Igbo land are stopped henceforth.
The apex Igbo body disclosed that its management will invite ESN, Ebube Agu and Miyetti Allah for a gathering in train to holistically and proactively address the wanton destruction of lives and property, occasioned by herdsmen and farmers’ clashes in all places in the South-East zone.
