Two ineffective as police rescue six commuters

The police in Delta Inform acknowledged it rescued six commuters after an attack by armed hoodlums on a car alongside the Okutolo-Sapele avenue, Okpe LGA.

Two of the abducted passengers within the auto died after being shot by the hoodlums, the police acknowledged.

Delta Police image-maker, DSP Shiny Edafe, in a commentary acknowledged the police in Orerokpe divisional quandary, performing on a tip-off a patrol team comprising the army and police, chased the abductors into the forest

He acknowledged the abductors deserted the victims when they’d now no longer withstand the stress from the patrol team.

The police acknowledged the victims rescued integrated four females and two males.

The victims had been identified as Edoma Rita, Evelyn Chinwekwe Imagine Omoruyi , Linus Kojo, Idolo Christina and Ojemudia Esther.

It added an injured female passenger, Ojemudia Esther and an unnamed driver, died as end result of accidents sustained within the attack.

It acknowledged 7.6 mm and 39 mm spent shells had been recovered from the scene, whereas a manhunt has been launched for the fleeing bandits.
