Haynesworth wrote on Fb:
“BOYCOTT TENNESSEE FOR SYSTEMATIC RACISM!!!!!
“Obviously Tennessee Vols bewitch Tee Martin without a consideration! Why get grasp of s–t on him, hell he even lower his wage to back the college out when he didn’t wish to? Is it bc he is black? UT would perchance not even interview him. I bring scuttle into it bc UT has skipped over factual qualified black coaches treasure Kippy Brown and others in these previous teaching searches. Majority of your gamers are African-American why no longer build a African-American coach to lead them especially the one which obtained Tennessee a championship? You guys give everyone instead of a black qualified man of enterprise! With this acknowledged I would no longer be attending any games or supporting except I look commerce in the college that I treasure loads! I hope my fellow black Tennessee alumnus will apply me in boycotting the college in exhibiting how serious we are about no longer feeling the equality for our fellow qualified black coaches!!!”

Newest Duke girls’s basketball head coach Kara Lawson, a Tennessee alum, acknowledged in June that the college’s athletic division wished to lend a hand its diversity.

Per Will Backus of the Knoxville Files Sentinel, Tennessee has had exactly three Murky head coaches in its historical previous: men’s basketball head coaches Wade Houston (1989-94) and Cuonzo Martin 2011-14) and tune and field’s J.J. Clark (2001-14).
The college also does no longer have any Murky senior workers members in its athletic division.
The college’s recent athletic director, Danny White, came from UCF and introduced Heupel with him. Heupel went 28-8 in three seasons at the helm for the Knights.
